In Torrelavit, under the Titet mountains, guarded by olive and almond trees, we cultivate eight small Sumoll vineyards in poor clay-limestone soils, practicing organic and respectful farming. We have been planting, grafting, and caring for them with patience over the last 30 years.
These terraces have endured snow, storms, hail, gales, heatwaves... but all this has strengthened the vines, as the vast majority of days are placid, mild, and fragrant.
In some vintages, we have selected the most suitable grapes to make a sparkling wine under the Corpinnat seal. Only Sumoll, with its rugged and almost indomable character.
In 2017, a year of drought and heat but with good balance, we produced an opulent, authentic wine with character. A unique personality.
In 2019, a year of abundance for the Penedès farmer, a more luscious and voluptuous wine emerged from these terraces.
And 2021 aims to be the most frank and deep vintage of Sumoll.
If l'Hermós is that furtive heart that sees the wind, Els Pagesos are those sturdy men who hear the grass grow.
